My experience at University of Tsukuba deepened my understanding of my research area, and I continued to pursue this field upon returning to China.

Hello, I come from China. I am a Master2 student in the School of Electronics, East China Normal University. When I knew that I had the opportunity to participate in the CA6 Program, I was very confused about my future at that time, so I wanted to participate in this Program and give myself a chance to see the educational methods in different countries, get to know friends from different countries and have a new plan for my research direction.

During my time at University of Tsukuba, I made many friends, especially classmates from Indonesia who were also in Program C with me. We frequently attended classes together and engaged in discussions, from which I gained valuable insights. Interacting with classmates from different nationalities, I noticed that each country’s culture influences people’s personalities and behaviors. However, despite these differences, we were able to get along quite well. In the research lab, Professor provided detailed and thorough guidance on my research. I often collaborated with a teaching assistant on experiments, and he offered valuable suggestions on experimental design and data analysis. Additionally, there were several friends from China in the lab who greatly assisted me in adapting to the lab environment. My experience at University of Tsukuba deepened my understanding of my research area, and I continued to pursue this field upon returning to China.

Lastly, I would like to mention the coordinators of the Program. We spent a lot of time together, from orientation meetings to bus trips, concerts, and the little gifts before leaving. They helped us adapt to life in Japan, allowing me to feel the warmth of home even while far away.

Having gone through this exchange program, I hope to have more opportunities in the future to live and study in different countries for short periods, experiencing diverse lifestyles while also enhancing my academic skills.
